Domaine Franck Lamargue: Côte de Beaune from Saint-Romain to Maranges
A vigneron who built his estate himself, with a nose for the lesser-known villages.
In La Rochepot, the village with the glazed-roof castle on the edge of the Hautes-Côtes, Franck Lamargue works in the old village tile works. There he combines a modern cuverie with vaulted cellars.
His twelve hectares are spread across Monthélie, Saint-Romain, Auxey-Duresses, Santenay, Maranges and Maranges premier cru: villages less in the spotlight than their famous neighbours, but where you find Burgundy with character at an honest price.
Domaine Franck Lamargue is available in Belgium from Wijnhuis Jeuris. We import the wines directly and deliver throughout Belgium.

A dream that took shape in 2005
Franck grew up among the vineyards of the Mâconnais. His grandfather was a vigneron in Lugny. He never knew him, but the memory of that grandfather lived on in the family and awakened Franck's calling.
He studied viticulture in Beaune and founded his own estate in the Côte de Beaune in 2005. Since 2011 he has run it independently, together with Délia Lamargue.
What he seeks in his wines: purity, elegance and the individuality of each climat. Sincere, precise wines firmly rooted in their terroir.

Franck Lamargue.

Modern where needed, traditional where possible
The old tile works of La Rochepot is a place with soul and history. Franck fitted it with a modern cuverie, but the wines age in the vaulted cellars, as they have in Burgundy for centuries.
The result is wines that let you taste where they come from: the freshness of the higher villages, the juiciness of Maranges at the southern tip of the Côte de Beaune.
Six villages, one signature
White and red from the lesser-known climats
In white we offer the Auxey-Duresses Les Hautés, the Saint-Romain La Combe Bazin, a broad south-facing climat of more than thirteen hectares, and the Maranges Vignes Blanches.
Daarnaast de Monthélie Les Gamets, the Santenay Les Hâtes and the Maranges premier cru La Fussière. The latter is aged in barrel and earned a star in the Guide Hachette 2027 with the 2023 vintage. Barely 2,730 bottles were made.
